Math – Grade 6

The purpose of this course, the first in the three-year middle school sequence, is to prepare 
students for higher-level mathematics.   The course has been designed to further student understanding of mathematical concepts in each of five areas identified by the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) as critical in Grade 6.  

These areas are:

 Expressions and Equations

 Geometry

 Ratio and Proportion 

 Numerical Operations

 Statistics and Probability 

Math – Grade 7

The purpose of this course, the second in the three-year middle school sequence, is to prepare students for higher-level mathematics.   The course has been designed to further student understanding of mathematical concepts in each of five areas identified by the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) as critical in Grade 7.  

These areas are:

 Expressions and Equations

 Geometry

 Ratio and Proportion 

 Numerical Operations

 Statistics and Probability

Algebra – Grade 8

- Successful completion of Advanced Grade 7 Math 

Algebra I is the first in a sequence of courses that develops the study of high school mathematics.  The course has been designed to further student understanding of 
mathematical concepts in the areas identified by the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) 
as critical in high school.  

These areas are:

 Algebra

 Functions

 Geometry

 Modeling

 Number and Quantity

 Statistics and Probability
